As part of the Schools Pathways Program earn credits towards achieving your South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).

This course will equip students with a variety of competencies such as:

  • Communicating within health and community services
  • Working with diverse people
  • Health and safety within the workplace
  • Managing PPEs, cleanliness, client hygiene, and more.

Students will also be developing skills such as: customer service, team work, stress management, and negotiation, among others.

Career and study pathway

Assistant/Patient Care Assistant

Further training could lead to employment as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.

Students who successfully complete this course may be eligible to continue further study at Diploma level in: Community Services, Nursing, Mental Health, or other related human services fields.

  • 1 day per week over 35 weeks
  • Thursday 8:45am – 4:30pm
  • Commencing on 6th Feb 2025
  • Fees $295 (Government Subsidised)
  • VET Recognition Stage 2 SACE Credits – up to 75
